Homer

The books say you can tell when summer is ending by the blooming of the Fireweed.
This part of the Seafarer's Memorial says, "The bell tolls for all the souls set free upon the sea."
The Salty Dawg Saloon, thousands of dollars tacked to the walls and very low doorways.
A 20 oz. beer at the Salty Dawg ( I spilled half of it of course) bottled locally in Sobe bottles.

We finally saw a moose on the drive to Homer as well as many porcupine carcasses. On the drive home, a much more disturbing site: A goth teenager PETTING a roadkill porcupine. He was knelt down on the side of the road petting it and probably crying over it's lost soul. With my luck, he'll be one of my client's at the Youth Facility. Awesome.
